TOUR DETAILS

 

Bago City Tour.  Entrance fees are required to see Shwethalyaung Buddha, Shwemawdaw Paya, Kanbawzathadi Palace, KyaikpunPaya, and Maharzadi Paya. If you do not pay entrance fees you can view from the outside only.

 

Taungoo City.  Overnight only.

 

Kalaw City.  Choose a day trek with a guide, or walk to the KalawShweOo Min (Natural Cave Pagoda) and Nee

Paya (500 year-old gold-lacquered bamboo Buddha).

 

Pindaya City.  Visit a handmade bamboo umbrella workshop.  Entrance fee is required for Pindaya Zone and to see Pindaya Cave with its over 8000 Buddha statues and images.

 

Nyaung Shwe City (Inle Lake).  Entrance fee is required to visit Inle Lake by boat.  

 

Mandalay City.  Entrance fee is required to see Mandalay Hill, Sandamuni Paya, Kuthodaw Paya (world's biggest book), AtumashiKyaung, Shwenandaw-Kyaung, Kyauktawgyi Paya, Mandalay Palace and Fort, Maharmuni Paya.  See also marble stone carving, 

Amarapura Ancient City with U Bein's Bridge, and MahaganayonKyaung with its almost 1000 Monks.

 

Inwa (AVA) and Sagaing OR Mingun (one hour boat trip each way on Irrawaddy River) to see Pondaw Paya, Mingun Paya (Pahtotawgyi), Mingun Big Bell and Hsinbyume Paya (Myatheindan Paya).

 

Bagan Ancient City.  Entrance fee is required to see the most interesting Temples and Pagodas such as

Ananda Pahto (beautiful architecture), Dhamma-

yangyi Pahto (biggest temple), Shwesandaw Paya (beautiful place to watch the sunset), Gubyaukgyi Temple (beautiful painting), Manuha Paya (donated by Mon King), Nan Paya (Mon King's Manuha prison with beautiful sandstone carving), Shwezigon Paya (Buddha Tooth Relic Pagoda and interesting history about White Elephant and King Anawrahta).

There are many other interesting and beautiful temples in the Ancient City of Bagan.

Travel by private vehicle is convenient, comfortable, and efficient. You can choose one of my many  interesting programs, or you can tailor your visit to your specific needs and interests.

DAY 5:  Sightseeing by boat on Inle Lake

DAY 6:  Nyaung Shwe , Mandalay (3 nights)

DAY 7:  Sightseeing in or around Mandalay City

DAY 8:  Sightseeing in or around Mandalay City

DAY 9:  Mandalay, Mt Popa, Bagan (3 nights)

DAY10: Sightseeing in Ancient City of Bagan 

DAY11: Sightseeing in Ancient City of Bagan

DAY12: Bagan, Yangon

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

A 4 seater car will be used for 3 passengers, and a 7 seater car for 4-7 passengers.  Larger groups can also be accommodated, however most find a single vehicle tour the most personal and enjoyable.  

 

Cost for guide driver, vehicle, fuel, parking and tolls -

  • $525 each for 2 passengers,

  • $400 each for 3 passengers,

  • $350 each for 4 passengers,

  • $300 each for 5 passengers,

  • $275 each for 6 passengers,

  • $250 each for 7 passengers.

 

Prices do not include accommodation, food, entry and zone fees, or boat and open truck fares. There is a $15 discount for signing a new passenger onto the same trip.

A $50 deposit is required upon reservation.  Once the tour is filled you will receive a guarantee.  If there are not enough passengers for a car, your deposit will be refunded.  Trip cost is paid at the start of the trip.

There is no refund for withdrawal during the tour.

 

The tour starts most days at about 8:30 a.m. and finishes when we reach our destination.  Our tour of Bagan finishes at sunset.

 

Passengers may stay at any hotel of their choosing.  I can recommend nice, clean, reasonably-priced hotels. Pick-up and drop-off will be at the hotel, or at a common meeting place if passengers stay at different hotels.
